  Literally the best public course in Manitoba. I know it was ranked 25th in Canada at one point and that's impressive as it has to compete with the BC courses. Course is in great shape, the staff went out of their way to make our experience more enjoyable, the carts are quiet and fast and it wasn't even expensive! Hecla is such a relaxing place to spend a weekend. Do yourself a favor and make the 2.5 hour drive out to play a round. You won't regret it.

  Enjoyed my drive there, that was cool to be at the edge like that. We first checked in and were a wee bit late for our spa treatment. Our front desk clerk checked us in but didn't give us a map or explain anything to us. We did ask if he could let the spa know we would be late. That wasn't done. The spa treatment was amazing!!! That is a 8 /10. The only thing that would've made it great is if they had fresh water for us. The hotel is definitely looking its age. We went down one of the trails, which was nice but was saddened when it wasn't labeled, how long or 1/2 way point to our destination which was a lighthouse. The second part of the trail had these big rocks and made it very hard to walk on. The seagulls' restaurant was good, some was way overpriced. I'll be posting pictures also. Our rooms were nice, but housecleaning definitely has to be a little more up on the cleaning times. I was very disappointed as this was the main reason we went was the huge tub. I was so looking forward to drinking my wine and just relaxing, had bought a bath fizz bomb from gimil to soak in. No hot water, i was super upset. My husband had told the front desk and they were gonna let us borrow another rooms tub, but no one came and told us. The next morning apparently there was a problem with the hot water in that room, so i asked the front desk for a discount from management and they gave me $30. That wasn't what i had hopped for, but i took it. Will i go again?? if the price goes down and i'm guaranteed hot water in my huge tub, then yes! I found the price to be overpriced when you could go to the provincial cabins down the road for way less.
